Brrrrrrrr!

This is on Erik's birthday, December 22, 2007. We went skiing up at Brighton in the freezing temperatures. Mike got a picture at the top of one of the lifts of the guys. Mike took them up there because they didn't want to sit in the lodge with their numbed feet, frozen hand, complaining mother! I tried to get Jake to stay with me, and he said, "This is not skiing! This is stupid!" So he left with Mike. Fine with me.

One picture is Jake coming down the mountain. All three boys are quite good at skiing and I'm so glad. They didn't mind the cold and they had a blast with their dad!

I decided that day that I'm a fair weather skier. Since I don't ski that well, at least the temps shouldn't be 3 degrees!

All in all, we had a fun day and Erik had a great birthday!

Our New Kitchen (sort of)

Most of you have already seen our new kitchen, but those of you who haven't........here it is. We love it and we're so glad that we remodeled!

California Cousins!

We had a wedding on December 27, 2007 which brought all of Mike's side of the family together. Luckily, it was Danny. We were starting to wonder about him. Not really! Traci is super lucky! Russ, Ike, and Jake love seeing all their cousins from California and can hardly get enough of them while they're here. However, only seeing them a few times a year makes it that much more memorable! Mike took about a billion pictures of everyone, so I've tried to pick some of the best ones!

Because I Don't Scrapbook!

I am going to do a blog because Jeannette and Anna have inspired me to. Jane suggested that I do it, and it was a bit of a challenge for me to get it started. As most of you know, I am a computer idiot. Mike is quite knowledgeable about the computer, so he showed me how to do this. Like Jeannette, I am going to use this as our family's scrapbook. Mike has made me promise to do it once a week and print a page off each week to put it in a book. I'm really excited about this and hope I do as good of a job as Jeannette and Anna. I love their's and always look forward to new pictures. I'm glad that Jane made the suggestion and hope everyone loves our pictures as much as we do!

Cousin's Sledding

Some of the cousin's powering down and powering back up the hill!!!

Sledding At The Golf Course

December 21,2007

We decided as a family to go sledding up at Eagle Wood Golf course. This was our night to spend as a family before Christmas. Since Dad and Jane were not here (on their mission in South Africa), we wanted to all get together and do something. We went sledding and then met afterwards at Margaret's house and had pizza and treats and read the Christmas Story from the scriptures that we always do. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the sledding part because I had a hair appointment. Lame, I know. But I had to get it done! Margaret's house was really fun. Instead of a present exchange, we all wrote or said something about the person we had for Christmas.

Whitewash

Russ came up from behind startling Jake with an 'over-the-head' whitewash. Luckily Jake thought it was funny and everyone laughed about it!
